gameboy900 WonderSwan be done...yay!
2003.06.29 19:02 GMT :: gameboy900
In case you've been living under a rock and do not know, the WonderSwan is a portable gaming system released by Bandai in Japan and Asia to compete with the Gameboy. It actually has a pretty good selection of games (MANY RPG's) in addition to the large number of Bandai's own Digimon and Gundam games. Heck it even had 12 SquareSoft games (including FFI, FFII and FFIV), connected to the PSX and had an internet link.

Even more amazing are some of the really strange "games" for it, like the WonderBorg (a programable robot), WonderWitch (OFFICIAL homebrew flash card), Handy Sonar (a full blown working fish finder with sonar) and the Mama Mitte (a bathroom scale with sensors for pregnant women).

RevQuixo We're still here.
2003.06.24 15:36 GMT :: RevQuixo
Well it seems the staff of VGR has been a little busy with real life activities, hence the lack of recent updates to the site. Rest assured, however, that we are never far from the site... even if nothing seems to be changing on the front page.
RevQuixo Sad..sad day
2003.06.16 06:15 GMT :: RevQuixo
I have lost an online friend today....and the internet community is definitely lesser because of it. Clint Gorman, known as NotJigen on our messageboards here at VGR, lost his battle to Cystic Fibrosis on Saturday June 14th. He truly, was a hardcore gamer in every sense of the word and his presence will be missed by everyone who knew him.

If there is a Neo Geo arcade in heaven, that is where you will find Clint right now. Godspeed my friend and game on.

mowgli Barcode Fanatics Unite!
2003.06.12 23:20 GMT :: mowgli
IfIf you're a barcode nerd *RevQuixo slaps Mowgli*... er... I mean barcode FAN *RevQuixo nods*, then you'll be happy to know you can view, print and scan game barcodes to your heart's content :)

If a game profile in the VGR database includes a barcode, you'll be able to show it, and even double size it for better printing and scanning. That should help if you're ever trying to track down a copy of something at the local VG store.

What's more, your barcode viewing preferences will be remembered. Catering to niche minority interest groups? You betcha! That's what VGR is all about :)

Special credit needs to go to Gameboy900 for his awesome work on the backend component that makes it all happen.

RevQuixo Great French Saturn Resource
2003.06.07 15:16 GMT :: RevQuixo
I had the pleasure last night of chatting with, Man-Jimaru, the webmaster of Sega Saturn Collection and although the site is entirely in French, the available Saturn related content transcends any language barrier. It really is one heck of a nice site with lots of cover scans and obi strip scans and other content. Check it out!
RevQuixo Game profile #6000!
2003.06.02 05:33 GMT :: RevQuixo
Another milestone here at VGR as we chaulk up our 6000th game profile: Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Darkside So big thanks to my fellow staff members for their dedication to the site and also a huge thanks to new member Lazlo for breaking the 6000 mark with his submission of this game's information!
