RevQuixo Playstation Demos Galore
2005.02.24 19:12 GMT :: RevQuixo
VGRebirth is pleased to announce that we are now hosting Lockshaw13's PSone and PS2 demo site. Lockshaw13's site is a great resource for Sony demos and we are anticipating a good synergy between the two sites to bring in new Playstation demo disc info.

Of course, VGRebirth will be adding the demos to the main site as well allowing users to add them to your gamelists, but for more in depth info look no further than...

RevQuixo Awesome PAL Mega CD site!
2005.02.17 20:39 GMT :: RevQuixo
Thanks goes to The PAL Mega CD Library for the gracious use of their scans for our European Mega CD area. The site is an awesome, and very complete, resource for Mega CD information and I urge anyone who appreciates Sega's first CD outing to give it a shot. Click on the Banner!

VanillaThunder Gauntlet's Next Gen game
2005.02.17 18:04 GMT :: VanillaThunder
Gauntlet : Seven Sorrows has been announced for PS2, XBox and PC.

This time out, it's going to be gaming vets John Romero and Josh Sawyer doing the design. It will feature online play and deep RPG elements. No date has been set for the game as of yet. Gamespot has done a nice write up on the game, it can be found here: Gauntlet : Seven Sorrows.
VanillaThunder PS3 at E3
2005.02.08 19:27 GMT :: VanillaThunder
Quickie:

Sony has announced that the PS3 will be unveiled at this year's E3. Microsoft and Nintendo are also rumored to be unveiling their nextgen consoles.
RevQuixo 15,000 Games
2005.02.04 01:59 GMT :: RevQuixo
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine for the Sega Master System is the title that marks this milestone. The game, which is a conversion of the awesome puzzler Puyo Puyo, is one of the most addictive puzzle games out there and has appeared on just about every platform wearing different names. (see: Puyo Pop & Kirby's Avalanche)
RevQuixo Australian Games now one their own.
2005.02.03 23:56 GMT :: RevQuixo
One of the earliest decisions made at VGR was to bundle Australian releases with their European PAL counterpart if the only change was in the barcode. In thinking about the ramifications of this, I came to the decision that it undermines our ability to accurately determine what regions a game was released for.

So starting right now, I have been moving the Australian games into their own profiles. Members from Australia will probably need to adjust their game lists to properly reflect the version you actually own.

RevQuixo Happy 2nd Birthday to Us!
2005.02.01 20:16 GMT :: RevQuixo

A little over 2 years ago, VGR sprang forth onto the internet. It's purpose was, and still is, to consolidate and standardize the vast amount of knowledge of video games and video game collecting that is scattered throughout the web. Along the way, the staff of VGR and myself realized that the site could become more than simply lists in statistics...it could become a central hub for collectors from around the world.

To that end we have been working hard in the last year to roll out new features such as:

  • Adding New Consoles
  • Private Messaging
  • Member Submitted Game Reviews
  • Developer & Publisher Gamelists
  • MSRP Prices & Currency Calculators
We are not content to rest on our laurels and say the site is finished. In the next year we hope to tackle a few major upgrades along with improving our existing content. This alongside with expanding and fleshing out our database of almost 15,000 game profiles will certainly keep us burning the midnight oil well into year three. Thanks for the continued support & game submissions from our members. You guys rock as always.
